Sun Honglei fights Guo Fucheng

Directed by AfDB and starring Sun Honglei, Guo Fucheng, Yu Nan and Deng Jiajia, the suspected crime blockbuster "National Witness" landed in major cinemas across the country on September 13. Sun Honglei and Deng Jiajia play a father and daughter who are deeply in love. In the film, Sun Honglei supports that "daughter" Deng Jiajia is not the murderer of the crime. For this reason, he also fights wits and braves with Guo Fucheng’s role as prosecutor Tong Tao, and has engaged in many confrontations.
The story of "National Witness" revolves around a murder trial: Sun Honglei plays a billionaire Lin Tai, whose fiancée is killed in the parking lot of a shopping mall. Deng Jiajia, who plays Lin Tai’s daughter, became the first alleged offender, for which Guo Fucheng played the prosecutor Tong Tao to file a lawsuit against Deng Jiajia in court. Sun Honglei, who loves his daughter deeply, believes that "my daughter did not kill". In order to save Deng Jiajia, he will spend a lot of money to hire the lawyer played by Yu Nan as a defence counsel, and "tongue war" Guo Fucheng in court, and engage in one after another confrontation. When he could not find any evidence, he did not hesitate to do something that violated the law and morals, and even deliberately faked the crime scene to "whitewash" his daughter. After the daughter learned what her father had done for her, she had a deeper understanding of her father’s love and quickly matured.
In the previous screenings, Sun Honglei and Deng Jiajia’s father and daughter deeply moved every audience, and many female audiences wept on the spot, so much so that they were still immersed in the story atmosphere after the screening and refused to leave for a long time. Sun Honglei’s sentence "I am a layman, and the most beloved thing in my life is my daughter" resonated with the parents in the audience. And Deng Jiajia’s role of Lin Mengmeng in the courtroom screaming for her father’s injustice, drenching in the heavy rain and missing her father, etc., shocked people and made young audiences see their own shadow.
It is understood that Sun Honglei and Deng Jiajia not only have a deep relationship in the play, but also become "best friends" outside the play. At each previous press conference, Sun Honglei expressed support and recognition for Deng Jiajia’s performance, praising her as a "very hard-working young actor." Deng Jiajia also revealed many times in an interview with reporters that Sun Honglei is an actor he respects very much. "Not only is the play good, but he is also very kind and rarely puts on airs. He takes great care of me both in and out of the play."
