Deng Chao: I am very satisfied with this script. When I see the script, I will feel that my play is difficult to complete, and I will try my best to learn from the director.
Guangzhou Daily: What are the differences between the characters you play and those you played before?
Deng Chao: It’s so different. This character is a person who lives in a mask. After I play it, I always feel dissatisfied. If I want to rate my creation, I think I should wait for the audience to play it. The potential of my performance still has to be tapped.
Guangzhou Daily: Did the cooperation with Zhou Xun spark a spark?
Deng Chao: This is the first time to work with Zhou Xun. She is a relatively "crazy" person when acting, and I admire her more. There are also many brothers in "Assembly" in the play, and we get together again to perform a "cat and mouse" story.

Guangzhou Daily: How does it feel to play opposite Deng Chao?
Zhou Xun: Deng Chao is a very annoying kind of person at the scene. I will put quotation marks on this "annoying". He entered the filming group later, and in order to allow him to integrate with everyone faster, we have been accompanying him all the time. Remember to shoot the first shot of him and me, it was already very exciting. But when the movie was finished, he suddenly asked me, do you think that shot was good that day? I said, you are all done, why are you still thinking. I mean, don’t talk about the shots that have been shot.
Guangzhou Daily: What’s the difference between this movie and the love stories you’ve starred in before?
Zhou Xun: Of course it’s different. It’s also difficult for me to say what kind of story "Li Mi’s Conjecture" is about. I think it’s a very interesting and smart story, and there will be many surprises in it. Moreover, I am very interesting in the performance.
Guangzhou Daily: The same movie you starred in, "Li Mi’s Conjecture" will encounter "Painted Skin" and "Women Are Not Bad" in the schedule. How do you feel?
Zhou Xun: From August last year to April this year, I shot three films in a row as the female lead. The second half of this year is the intensive promotion period for the release of these three films. As I make new films, I am preparing for the shooting of new films at the end of the year. I feel that now is the film harvest season for actor Zhou Xun. The only person who can challenge me is myself. All I have to do is work harder, keep breaking through myself, and then enjoy the happiness and honor that the film returns to me.
